Every year, BeGlobal publishes a magazine featuring insights from experts in the sector. This year’s edition focuses on the Dublin Declaration on Global Citizenship Education.
In November 2022, a new European framework for global citizenship education was approved: the Dublin Declaration on Global Education to 2050. This framework is the result of a lengthy process involving regional, national, and youth representatives, practitioners and NGOs, the research and education sector, and policymakers. It provides broader and deeper political support and commitment to more and better global citizenship education in Europe.
This edition includes contributions from Liam Wegimont (GENE – Ireland), Sabine Seiffert (Berlin Development Policy Council – Germany), Annamaria Vicsek (Ministry of Education – Serbia), La Salete Cohelo (Angel Advisory Board – Portugal), and Ana Larcher Carvalho (GENE – Portugal). They highlight various aspects of the new Declaration and its potential for global citizenship education in Europe.
